Ghost Trees is a coastal area located adjacent to the 18th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, CA. Considered among the most dangerous surfing waves in the world, the location is known for 60-foot waves, strong currents, and white sharks.

According to local legend, a "Lady in Lace" appears near one of the lone remaining Monterey Cypress trees and is said to startle motorists along the famed 17-Mile Drive. Many believe that the spirit "is responsible for several accidents along the road".

Ghost Trees is accessible by vehicle after paying an entry free at any of the Pebble Beach Corporation entry kiosks.

Manoa Falls Trail is a popular hiking trail located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The route offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the lush tropical vegetation of Manoa Valley and enjoy the beauty of the waterfall.

According to Hawaiian folklore, the trail is often visited by nightmarchers. These ghostly warriors are said to belong to ancient Hawaiian chiefs and their presence in the rainforest is believed to be an omen of death.

Nightmarchers are accompanied by the sound of conch shells and the beating of war drums. The spirits typically trudge in procession to commemorate the dead and ensure safe passage to the afterlife.

Sightings of nightmarchers are so frequent that Manoa Falls Trail has gained reputation as "one of the most noted ghost localities of the islands". The trail is open daily to brave explorers who wish to traverse the 833 foot elevation gain in search of a chance encounter with the afterlife.

Headless Horseman Bridge - Postcard
Headless Horseman Bridge is located at the intersection of Broadway and Gordon Avenue in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Spanning the Pocantico River, the bridge is featured in Washington Irving’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow as site of the Headless Horseman’s attack on Ichabod Crane.

In the 1820 novel, Crane is leaving an evening party when he encounters the Headless Horseman on a bridge near Old Dutch Burying Ground.  Ichabod is struck by the Horseman's severed head and is sent “tumbling headlong into the dust," leaving his fate unclear. The next morning his hat is discovered near pumpkin chunks.

The original wooden bridge rotted out and was eventually replaced with a cement roadway in 1912.

Old Dutch Church is located at 430 Broadway in Sleepy Hollow, NY.  Constructed in 1685, the church and adjacent burying ground are primarily known as home to the Headless Horseman.

Washington Irving’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow alleges that a deceased Hessian soldier buried in the churchyard “rides forth to the scene of battle in nightly quest of his head”.  The 1820 short story declares the Horseman “vanishes, according to rule, in a flash of fire and brimstone” upon returning to the burial ground before daybreak.

The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the oldest house of worship in New York.
