Fort Vancouver National Historic Site

Fort Vancouver National Historic Site was headquarters for the Hudson Bay Company. Established in 1825, the trading post was essential to fur commerce along the Pacific Coast.

In 1866, a fire destroyed the Fort and it was not rebuilt until 1965. Today, visitors today can view modern replica structures within the original fort footprint.

Over the years, "paranormal phenomena have been reported here" including "strange glowing mists that move above the grounds". In 1993, a Native American exorcism was allegedly performed "to calm the restless spirits".

Rosenheim Mansion

Rosenheim Mansion

Rosenheim Mansion, also known as the "Murder House," is a historic building located in Los Angeles, CA. The residence was built by architect Alfred Rosenheim in 1908 and has since served a popular filming location for horror projects including The Twilight Zone, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, and more.

The first season of American Horror Story, retroactively titled "Murder House," was filmed onsite in 2011. The home recently sold for $3.2 million in 2015 and the sellers were subsequently sued for not disclosing the property was featured on American Horror Story, as fans frequently visit.

Ghost Trees

Ghost Trees is a coastal area located adjacent to the 18th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, CA. Considered among the most dangerous surfing waves in the world, the location is known for 60-foot waves, strong currents, and white sharks.

According to local legend, a "Lady in Lace" appears near one of the lone remaining Monterey Cypress trees and is said to startle motorists along the famed 17-Mile Drive. Many believe that the spirit "is responsible for several accidents along the road".

Ghost Trees is accessible by vehicle after paying an entry free at any of the Pebble Beach Corporation entry kiosks.

La Quinta Resort & Club

La Quinta Resort & Club opened in 1926 and serves "as a longtime getaway for the famous" including Greta Garbo, Clark Gable, and Shirley Temple.

As one of Coachella Valley’s oldest landmarks, the hotel is known for "various stories of mysterious disembodied voices calling out to guests and staff," including "an account of a spirit who mingled with guests until 4am".

Today the resort offers world-class accommodations and boasts a PGA championship golf course.

Rustic Canyon

Rustic Canyon is a residential enclave in West Los Angeles known for upscale housing and scenic views of the Santa Monica Mountains.

On July 3 and July 4, 2024, residents observed paranormal "cloud-like" entities traveling from the Pacific Coast through the canyon. The objects were reported to have shapeshifting and self-propelling capabilities while also featuring a blinking white light and soft luminescent glow.

Fraser Canyon

Fraser Canyon is located in British Columbia and site of a July 3, 1884 Sasquatch encounter. According to the Daily Colonist, "a creature which may truly be called half man and half beast" was captured in the Canyon and placed in captivity. The creature, named "Jacko," was observed by locals to possess "long, black course hair" along with "extraordinary strength".

Mission Inn Hotel & Spa

Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is a historic boarding house located in Riverside, CA. Opened in 1876, the site quickly became known as a “property with a high mortality rate” due to a series of mysterious visitor deaths at the turn of the 19th century.

On July 19, 1908, customer Charlotte Foster complained that “she had seen ghosts in her room”. The Riverside Daily Press and Riverside Enterprise newspapers both dismissed Foster’s claims, but the “Mission Inn’s ghost stories persisted” nevertheless.

By the 1950s, the hotel’s “haunted reputation was fairly well established”. Guests report observing the spirit of hotel architect Frank Miller in room 413 where he died in 1935, as well as faces peering out of closets.

Frequently ranked among the most haunted historic hotels in the United States, the grounds of the Mission Inn are open to members of the public in search of the supernatural.

Point Pinos Lighthouse

Point Pinos Lighthouse was first lit on February 1, 1855 and is the oldest continuously operating lighthouse in California. The spirit of Emily Fish, who lived onsite from 1893 to 1914, is believed to still maintain the building and is "one of the lighthouse's best-known keepers".

Colton Hall

Colton Hall Museum & Jail

Colton Hall is the first government building of California. Built in the 1840s, the site hosted a Constitutional Convention and also served as a jailhouse from 1851 to 1939.

Museum staff report "so many strange experiences that there is no other reasonable explanation than to accept that ghosts are all over the place". Intense cold spots and disembodied footsteps are frequently observed on the balcony where the gallows once stood.

Henry Levy House

Is the Henry Levy House one of California’s most haunted residences?

The Henry Levy House is a 1914 Craftsman-style home located in the Oxnard Historic District. The dwelling is "known for eerie occurrences" and "rumors of ghostly phenomena".

In a 2022 episode of Ghost Adventures, homeowners Eric Andrist and Jeff Rizzo shared security camera footage of locked doors mysteriously flying open and audio capturing a creepy voice as host Zak Bagans was filming on the second floor.

The site is a Ventura County Historic Landmark and popular attraction for Halloween trick-or-treating.
